The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, May 19, 2008, with family by his side of Francis (Frank) St. Clair MacDonald of Central Bedeque, P.E.I., age 90 years. Born on April 27, 1918. Veteran of the Second World War. The son of the late Ronald and Elizabeth (McInnis) MacDonald. Husband of Eva (Perry) MacDonald. Father of Ron (Donna) of Fernwood, Elizabeth (Raymond) Gallant, St. Nicholas, Wayne (Karen), Richmond, Patty (Bryan, deceased) Arsenault, Summerside, Darlene (Paul) Johnson, Summerside, Brian (Heather), Middleton, Nancy, Summerside, and Reggie (Toby), Summerside. Brother of Bessie Folland. Brother-in-law of Melvina Poirier, Hamilton, Ont. Predeceased by a son, David, and daughter, Mary, brothers Austin and Joseph, and sisters Mae, Maud, Beatrice, Cecilia, Alice and Catherine. Also survived by special grandchildren David, Sherry, Duane, Shanice, Shalene, Darien, Roxanne, Mindy, Mitchell, Lacey, Chase, Devon, Haley, Natasha, Nathan, Garrett, Chandler, Ryan, Felicia, David, Matthew and Lydia. Great-grandchildren Emily, Ella and Hunter. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. Funeral will be held Thursday, May 22, leaving the funeral home at 10 a.m., than to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday, May 21, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 10, Borden-Carleton, will hold a Legion tribute service at the funeral home Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. If desired, contributions to the Prince County Hospital equipment fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.
