The death occurred peacefully at the Garden Home, Charlottetown, on Friday, January 13, 2012, of Mary Caroline “Carrie” Burt (nee Myers), formerly of York and Covehead.
Last surviving member of the William and Catherine (nee Veno) Myers family. Wife of the late Frank Burt and partner of the late Harold “Baldy” Gallant. Left to mourn the memory of a loving mother are Frances MacLure (John), Irene Burt, Everett Burt (Jenny), Don Burt (Jen), Oshawa, and Cathy Burt; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Predeceased by her sisters Maida Gomache, Irene Maye and Kathleen (Kay) Burt and by her brothers Charlie O’Brien, Bernie O’Brien, Irving, Alfred, John, Joseph and Bernard Myers and special nephew Fenner Myers.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Thursday at 10 a.m. then to St. Eugene’s Church, Covehead, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Eugene’s Parish Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Camp Gencheff or St. Eugene’s Cemetery.
