The death occurred peacefully at the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Saturday, January 14, 2012, of Frank McCarron, beloved husband of the late (April 2011) Marge McCarron (nee Lusk), formerly of Stratford, age 81.
Frank is survived by his first wife, Ruth Johnson, and their children: Wayne McCarron (Bev) of Oyster Bed Bridge, Debbie Stuart (Frank) and Sandra MacKinnon (Chuck) of Halifax and Nancy Hurlburt (Richard) of Yarmouth; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Jackie, Jerry and Ian of Stratford and Donnie of Amherst; sister, Irene O’Blenis, Saint John; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Marge, Frank was predeceased by his sisters, Phyllis Allen and Louise Monaghan.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Monday, January 16, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:45 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church, Covehead, on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at 2 p.m. Interment later in Charlottetown Catholic Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
