MERRIGAN, Edith – Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Care Centre on Thursday, November 26, 2009, Edith Merrigan, age 84 years, of Big Barrisway, P. Bay. Predeceased by her husband Leo, February 6, 2009. She leaves to mourn son Joe (Kay), Churchill Falls; daughter Marg Furey (Doug), St. John's; grandsons: Sean (Holly) and their children Brady, Lachlan & Reagen, and grandson Glen (Michelle); her sisters: Ann Walsh & Rita Eason; the residents and staff of Beachside Manor, Placentia, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday and Sunday from 2-9 P.M. Funeral Mass to take place at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia on Monday November 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Big Barrisway.
