At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, November 29, 2009, of Blanche Myrtle Matthews, beloved wife of Eldon Matthews of Alberton, age 89 years. Born in Coleman, P.E.I., on July 20, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Waldron and Ethel (nee Adams) Leard. Lovingly remembered by her son, Owen and his wife, Joyce of Northport. Dear grandmother to David (Stacey) Matthews of Vancouver; Darcey (Brandy) Foley of Northport; Carla Profit (Bart Arsenault) of Northport; Chris (Shelly) Foley of Charlottetown. Dear brother to Warren and his wife, Bernice Leard of Coleman. She was predeceased by sons Clayton and Kenneth Charles in infancy. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, from where the funeral will be held on Tuesday morning Dec.1, 2009, at 11 a.m. Rev. Noel Burden officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Alberton.
