At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, November 28, 2009, of Eric McGuirk, formerly of Fort Augustus, age 68 years.
Beloved husband of Jean McGuirk (nee Smith) and loving father of Eric (Lorraine), Everett (Lisa), and Christa McGuirk and Colleen Corkum (Barry).
Eric will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Lindsay Garnhum, Bradley, Gwyneth and Drew McGuirk and Nikolas and Lily Corkum; brothers, Ivan, Gordon and John; and sisters, Gladys Smith, Eileen Shea, Rosemary McGuirk and Shirley McManus.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Linda McGuirk (nee Bradley); his parents, Henry and Stella McGuirk; his sisters, Pearl, Doris, Bertha, Tina and Isabel; and brothers, Clifford, Gerald, Elmer and Ralph.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Tuesday, December 1, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 2, at St. Patrick\'s Church, Fort Augustus, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Patrick\'s Debt Reduction Fund would be appreciated.
