Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer at the L.A. Miller Centre on November 27, 2009, age 72. Predeceased by his mother, father, brother and first wife. Left with fond and loving memories by his wife Carmel, daughters Renee, Dana (Paddy), Cheri, Jennifer, Erin (Jason), sons Des (Patti-Ann) and Allen (April). Grandchildren Nicole, Kevin, Liam, Christopher, Abigail, Colin, and Laura, sisters Elizabeth and Diana in Florida. Also remembered by many brothers and sisters-in-law and with special memories from the entire Bursey family. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, November 28 from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Queen of the World Church, Topsail Road, 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1st. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
