HOYT, ERIC ROY - Eric Roy Hoyt, loving husband of Ruth (Losier) Hoyt passed away with his family at his side on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1937 in Saint John he was the son of the late Eric and Gertrude (London) Hoyt. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Wayne Hoyt and William (Percy) Hoyt; and lifelong friend Murray Pearce. Roy was an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. He worked for Canada Packers for 25 years and Atlantic Packaging for 12 years. He will be sadly missed. Besides his loving wife Ruth of 52 years, he is survived by his son Kenneth Hoyt (Joan Handrahan); daughters Kelly Daigle (Leo) and Tracey Hoyt (Mark Carty); granddaughter Brittany Daigle (Jeff Johnston); step granddaughters Sheena and Tracey; brother Herbert Hoyt (Karen); sisters Gloria Walton (Doug Daley), Eunice Nickerson (Paul) and Katherine Hoyt; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
