It is with broken hearts and deep regret that we, the family, announce the passing of Marie Warren on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Llewellyn and Mary Florence (Edwards) Parsons.
Marie enjoyed the company of her friends. She always put others first. She was a beautiful person who loved to shop and pamper herself but never before ensuring all her loved ones were taken care of.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Marie is survived by her children, Glenys Perry, Louisbourg, Marion (Glenn) Maki, Corunna, Ont., Len (Edith) Warren, Shediac, N.B.; five grandchildren, Rob Perry, Rose Steylen, Norma Jean Scott, John Glenn Warren, Delaine Maki; five great-grandchildren, Rylan, Gerald Robert, Holly Rae, Adam and Summer. She is also survived by her sister, Gloria MacLeod, Catalone; brother, Lionel (Shannon) Parsons, Glace Bay; sisters-in-law, Carol Parsons, Victoria, B.C., Glenys Livingstone, Halifax; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bob Warren, brothers, Garnet and Murray, son-in-law, John Perry and brother-in-law, Hugh MacLeod.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at the Stella Maris Church, Louisbourg. A memorial mass will take place 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Main-a-Dieu.
