We, the family of the late John J. Gillis, Westmount, extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who gave us comfort and support during John’s illness and passing. To our neighbours, friends and relatives who sent food, flowers, on-line condolences, mass and sympathy cards, who phoned, visited, attended the wake or funeral mass and made donations to charities in John’s memory - your kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you to Dr. Liam Orrell, Dr. John Ritter, the Palliative Care team and the staff of Mira Bay, Harbourstone for the wonderful care they gave John. We are truly grateful to Bill Curry and the staff of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel for their professional guidance and support. Our sincere appreciation to Fr. Doug Murphy and the Holy Rosary Parish Choir for the moving celebration of John’s life and to the CWL for the beautiful lunch they provided. A very special thank you to
John’s granddaughters who participated in the
various ministries of his funeral mass and to his
grandsons who served as pallbearers – Papa
would be so proud.
