On October 8, 2006, Stan passed away peacefully in Abbotsford, BC at the age of 88, in the company of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Nance Love (nee Hawkridge), his parents Harry and Eleanor, and his brother Maxwell. He is survived by his brother Lloyd (Irene) of Vancouver, his son Jim of Prince George, his daughter Wendy (Chris Bond) of Abbotsford, grandsons James Pankratz of Abbotsford, and Sean Love (Jennifer) of Edmonton, granddaughters Amy and Trisha Pankratz of Abbotsford, and great-granchildren, nieces, and nephews. Stan lived and worked throughout the Interior of BC for many years in wholesale and retail sales, finally realizing his dream of owning his own hardware store in Barriere. He was a dedicated family man, and worked hard all his life to provide a loving and secure home for his family. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 20, 2006 at 2:00 P.M., at Holy Trinity Cathedral, New Westminster, BC., followed by a gathering of family and friends in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Parkinson Society of BC.
