Pauline Jesse Fisher, passed away on October 14th, 2006. Born as Pia Gelsomina Betuzzi in the municipality of Mozzanella, Italy, on the 13th day of November in 1912, she immigrated to Canada with her family in 1918 to settle in Summerland, BC. She remained in the Okanagan for over 70 years. She is dearly remembered by her loving family---Sons Gary (Carol) and Richard (Nancy) Blagborne, daughter Sally (John) Clements, grandchildren Michael, Christian, Ryan & Robin. She was also the proud Nona to four great grandchildren. She is survived by brother Charlie (Merry) Betuzzi of Westbank and sister Anna (Doug) Grant of Mt Vernon WA and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three loving husbands. Charles Blagborne lost over Germany in WWII., Almer Soderberg of Summerland and Lacey Fisher of Salmon Arm. She was also predeceased by brother Johnny (Emma) Betuzzi, sisters Mary (Kay) Ongaro and Jenny (Rigo) Biollo and grand-daughter Jessica Blagborne. Many happy Italian family gatherings were enjoyed during her early years in Happy Valley in Summerland. Although circumstances took her away from Summerland occasionally, her love for the community always brought her back. She was the first President of the Catholic Women's League of Summerland. Her many relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Holy Child Catholic church, Summerland on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 11:00 AM. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful caring staff at Pine Grove Care Center in Kamloops where she spent the last year and a half of her life.
