Roach, Violet Mary (Stacey) - Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, The Leonard A. Miller Centre, on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the age of 82, in the presence of her loving family . She was predeceased by her husband Frank; son Sean; parents James and Anne Stacey formerly of Point May; brothers: Jim, Pat, Clyde, Cecil; sisters: Shirley and Claire; and special friend Dick Corbett. Leaving to mourn: sons Frank and Noel (Sharon O"Neill); her wonderful grandchildren Megan (Jeremy) Christopher, and Sean; Jane Hurley; and one precious great grandson Matthew; her sister and best friend Dorothy Smith of Bay Bulls; sister Susan and brothers Ernest (June) and Stanley (Connie); many nieces (especially Anne Marie Stamp) and nephews; Jennifer Colford, and many other lifelong friends in Gander. Visitation will take place at Stacey’s Funeral home, Gander, on Wednesday, January 25, from 7-9 pm and on Thursday, January 26, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Joseph's Church, Gander, on Friday January 27 at 11:00 am. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the SPCA or to a charity of one’s choice.
