McFARLANE, MARINA MAE - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marina Mae McFarlane. Marina passed at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on January 23rd, 2012. Marina was the daughter of the late Ward and Minnie Amos. She is predeceased by her sister Ethal Boudreau and brother Clayton Amos. Her surviving sister is Ruth Amos. Marina will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Waldo McFarlane, and her children Charlene (Al) Plume, Brenda Hubert and Daniel McFarlane. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Lee Collings and Jennifer Lutes. Marina was fortunate to know her great grandchildren Katrina and Alex Tobin and Drew and Emily Lutes. Marina was a fun and happy person. She loved life and her friends. Marina worked as a waitress for many years. She also worked with the Canadian Red Cross as a home worker. Marina and Waldo boarded students involved in the English Language Program. Marina was an avid square dancer. She enjoyed going to many dances and music festivals.
Visitation will take place at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York St. (458-9170) on Friday, January 27th, 2012 from 2 to 4 pm. A graveside service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marina’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
