DeBORTOLI, GIULIO - Giulio passed away on Jan 5, 2012 at his home in Motta Di Livenza, Italy after a lengthy illness. Born September 13, 1930 in Motta and moved to Canada in 1958. He was the son of the late Virginio and Margretta DeBortoli. Giulio loved to play cards, golf & bowl. He operated Giulio Masonry in Saint John for many years until his retirement. Giulio was a member of the Westfield Golf & Country Club and active member of Local #8 Allied Bricklayers Union. Giulio is survived by his companion Ida Toninato of Motta Di Livenza, Italy. His only son Giuliano (Kimberly) DeBortoli and three grandchildren Giuliano, Samantha and Sydney DeBortoli all of Saint John, NB. He also survived by brothers Virginio and Giuseppie and sisters Maria, Rosetta, Gabriella and Elisa all from Motta Di Livenza, Italy, also one brother Luigie from France. Giulio was predeceased by his parents, infant daughter Melody DeBortoli, brothers Mario and Benedetto of Australia, sister Julia of Motta Di Livenza, Italy. Special Thank you to Giulio’s niece Shelley DeBortoli for taking such wonderful care of him while he was at home.
