The death of Herbert Davidson occurred on January 23, 2012 at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton, in his 93rd year.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Born October 12, 1918 in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Gordon and Arletta (Sutherland) Davidson. Herbert is survived by his children, Paul Davidson (Corinne Brophy) of Blackville, NB, and Carol Ann Morgan (The Rev. E.J. (Ted) Morgan) of Charlottetown, PEI; grandchildren, Cathy Morgan (Philip Smith), James Morgan (Anne), Michelle Davidson and Paula Davidson (Jamie Walls); great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Elijah, Leland, Meredith and Anderson; brother-in-law, Harland (Jean) Vye; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Herbert was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Celna Davidson in 2010; his son, Allan James Davidson; three brothers, Loreck, Gordie and Bobby; and one sister, Marie (Douglas) Stewart.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York St., on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Anthony Kwaw officiating. Interment will take place in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Blackville, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Grove Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
