Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, The Leonard A. Miller Centre, on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the age of 82, in the presence of her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Frank; son Sean; parents James and Anne Stacey, formerly of Point May; brothers: Jim, Pat, Clyde, Cecil; sisters: Shirley and Claire; and special friend Dick Corbett.
Leaving to mourn: sons Frank and Noel (Sharon O’Neill); her wonderful grandchildren Megan (Jeremy), Christopher, and Sean; Jane Hurley; and one precious great-grandson Matthew; her sister and best friend Dorothy Smith of Bay Bulls; sister Susan and brothers Ernest (June) and Stanley (Connie); many nieces (especially Anne Marie Stamp) and nephews; Jennifer Colford, and many other lifelong friends in Gander.
Visitation will take place at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander, on Wednesday, January 25, from 7-9 pm and on Thursday, January 26, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Gander, on Friday January 27 at 11:00 am.
