KING, LOUIS - Louis Joseph King, loving husband of Margaret (McLean) King peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at his residence. Born 1927 in Saint John he was the son of the late Louis and Laura “Kay” (McDermott) King. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brother George King; sisters Gladys Parks, Rhonda Bouchard, Carolyn Ann King and Rena Anderson.
Louis worked in Environmental Services for St. Joseph’s Hospital for 35 years. He was a member of North Side Assembly Pentecostal church and was an avid sports fan, enjoying football, hockey and baseball, especially watching his favorite baseball team the Blue Jays. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret of 42 years, brothers Walter King, Murray King (Marion), Wayne King (Wendy), Robert King (Janet) and Gary King (Linda); sisters Diane King (Donnie Miller) and Brenda Price (Allan); his five feline companions Sam-O, Molly, Tiny, Patches and Cody; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday January 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring.
