April 9, 1937 - January 26, 2012. Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, January 26th, 2012, Mr. Azariah V. Smith of Bishop's Cove, age 74 years. Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Rebecca Smith, brothers Chesley and Josiah, sisters Marcella, Virginia, and Elizabeth, brother-in-law Melvin. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Ellen of 49 years; two sons; Greg, Dean (Edna); two daughters: Verna (Ray), Cindy; six grandchildren: Shane, Matthew, Nicholas, Ryan, Mackenzie, Justin; brothers and sisters: Isaac, Ralph, Roland, Patience, Sybil, and a special niece Gloria. And a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Lynch's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay, Visitation Thursday, January 26th, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, January 27th, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral service Monday. January 30th, at 2 p.m. from St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church, Bishops Cove. Inurnment at the Anglican Cemetery, Bishop's Cove.
