Pearl Andrews

Date de naissance : 22 mars 1935

Date de décès : 24 janvier 2012

Andrews, Pearl Mar 22, 1935 - Jan 24, 2012
Our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother has been promoted to glory to be with the Lord after a 25 year battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
She is the loving wife of Lorenzo who unselfishly and with unrelenting love devoted years to her care. Dear Mother to Carolyn (Ed), Peggy (Wayne) and Valerie (Andrew). Her guidance and motherly love will be forever with us.
Cherished Grandmother to Valerie Anne (Jason), Courtney, Ashley (Steven), Gregory, Emma, Brittany, and Olivia. Loving Sister to the Late Otto, Don (Betty), Tony (Linda), Cal (Ruby), Jocelyn (Bob) and beloved sister-in-law to the Late Warren (Dorothy), Etta (Late Noel), Louise (Cedric), Violet (Late Bert), Late Eric (Pats), Bertha (Late Harvey), Sadie (Jim), Ralph (Louise), Patricia (Andy), Pauline (Art), and Doug (Pat) and her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Predeceased by her parents Flora and James Stuckless and step-father Levi Hobbs. Well loved by her friends at Court of Barrhaven where she lived for the last 4 years of her life, and her many friends back home in Newfoundland. Pearl was a woman who lived life to the fullest. Her favorite expression was “If it is to be it is up to me”. She inspired everyone she met but made the most lasting impression on the hundreds of students that she taught as a teacher for 33 years. She adored young people and they loved her! She devoted much of her life to the Salvation Army Church in leadership roles such as the YPSM and Girl Guide Leader. She was also a member of the Gideons for many years. Pearl was an artist who loved exploring new concepts including crafting, quilting and painting. She was an adventurist who loved to travel (in a thrifty way!). She hated to cook and do housework (what a waste of time!) A heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff on 5B at the Civic Hospital and to Dr. John Thompson, her Rheumatologist for over 20 years. Friends were received at the Kelly Funeral Home, Barrhaven Chapel(613-823-4747), Ottawa, ON on Saturday January 28, 2012 from 10 am until the time of the Celebration of Pearl’s Life at 11 am. Donations in Pearl’s memory may be made to the Arthritis Society or the Salvation Army, Barrhaven Church (Building Fund). Online condolences may be made at www.kellyfh.ca
