ROSS, Ralston Ralph, 64, of South Side passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was born on March 31, 1947 in South Side. Ralston was an avid deer hunter and fisher. He also was an avid card player and loved card games of all types. Ralston was a devoted, kind and thoughtful grandfather and loved his grandchildren dearly. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Survived by his wife, the former Lillian Chetwynd; son, Douglas Ross, North East Point and step-sons, Gregory White, Baccaro and Vincent White, Truro; daughters, Valda (Carman) Christie, Sherose Island, Melanie (Bobby-Dean) Brannen, Bear Point, Jeanette (Ben) Nickerson, West Pubnico and step-daughter, Norma (James) Chetwynd, Port LaTour; brother, Mickey (Alice) Richardson, South Side, mother-in-law, Irene Chetwynd; grandchildren, Kendra, Tyler, Richard, Taylor, Kayla, Gracie and Grant, step-grandson, Tyler; step-great grandchild, Madi. He was predeceased by his grandparents that he thought of more as parents, Ellie and Earl Ross; and mother, Rosie Ross. The funeral service was held on Sunday, January 22, from H. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington. Interment was in the White Lily Cemetery. Rev Bill Lea officiating.
