BROWN, Joan Ora Mae - It’s with profound sadness, the family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Left to cherish her memory is husband, Stephen; her children, Stephen Jr. (Karen) and Dale; grandchildren, Stacey, Ryan and Jamie; great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Lennon Fitzgerald; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; her siblings, Eugene, Joyce (Doug), Rose (Roy) and Jack (Trudy). She was predeceased by brother, Watson Bethune; sisters, Jenette Prout, Eileen Muise and Sandra Duncanson. Joan worked many years as a legal secretary. She loved baking and making candy. She enjoyed daily walks with her precious dogs. Joan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, visiting with the elderly in her church. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. A memorial service was held at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 25 at 2 p.m., Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment followed in Deerfield Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
