GALLANT, HECTOR - At Hotel-Dieu of Saint Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, January 28, 2012, Mr. Hector Gallant of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 78. He was married to the former Germaine Robichaud. Born at Atholville in 1933, he was a son of the late Joseph and Angeline Gallant. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Nicole (Roger Bélanger) of Drummond and Diane (Maurice Levesque) of Grand Bay-Westfield, five grandchildren, Christianne Bélanger of Montreal, François Bélanger of Moncton, Jacob, Chloé and Caleb Levesque of Grand Bay-Westfield, one brother, Jim (Stella Fougère) (late Maria) of Oshawa, Ontario, three sisters, Leona (late Lloyd Cameron) of Vancouver, Sister Lorraine Gallant, f.m.a. of Campbellton and Lynn (Bill Jordan) of Oshawa, sister-in-law, M. Louise Boudreau (late Leonard) of Atholville, brother-in-law, Albert Malo (late Emma) of Oshawa, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, William (late Rita Duguay), Leonard and Lucien, two sisters, Yvonne (late Jim Duguay) and Emma Malo.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 31st at 4 p.m. from the Saint-Georges Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion will meet for prayers Monday at 7:30 p.m. For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. www.oregans.ca
