Heather June Coltman March 29th, 1949 - November 5th, 2006 It is with great sadness that the family of Heather announces her sudden passing on November 5, 2006 at the age of 57 years. Heather is survived by her loving husband John, daughters Michelle (Daryl & girls) Funk, Cindy (Duane) Hansma and granddaughter Emily June Hansma. Numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and family will also miss her loving presence. She will be greatly missed by her beloved pets Lindy and Teddy Bear. Heather was preceded by her parents Basil and June Sellick. Heather has been involved with Kamloops Hospice since 1983 being a grief councillor, educator, and advocate for hospice philosophy and care. Her dream came true with the creation of the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home. She served as a board member on the BC Hospice and Palliative Care Association. She also worked with Mental Health services and the Ministry of Children and Family Services for 36 years. Through the years she was acknowledged with distinction being awarded Woman of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. Heather had a love for reading, caring for her granddaughter, fund raising for various charities, and playing softball in her younger years. She is remembered with fond memories for all the years she and John coordinated the famous "Ambulance Fishing Derby." Her husband, children, and grandchild and a half, were the love and light of her life. Her friends were very important and shared precious moments with her. The family wishes to thank Dr's. Koochin, Collier and Azad. Also express gratitude to the nurses in the ER, OR, PAR, and Stepdown Unit for their loving care. Funeral Services will be held at the Summit Drive Baptist Church - 1975 Summit Drive on Thursday, November 9th, at 1:30pm with Pastor Harry Bicknell officiating.
