The death occurred at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home January 29, 2012, of Evelyn Gallant (nee Gill), formerly of Vernon River and Mass., U.S.A., age 94 years.
Wife of the late Howard Gallant. Predeceased by brothers Herman (Mary) Gill and Peter (Edna) Gill, sisters Elizabeth (Jim) Connolly, Helen (Ed) Scanlon, Anne (Chester) Walsh and Avita (Wilbur) Daly.
Survived by nieces and nephews Gerard (Dianne) Gill, Marie (Basil) Vessey, Helen (Ken) Rowley, Joe (Heather) Gill, Lorna (John) MacLeod, Marie (Alfred — deceased) Vessey, Alfred (Helen) Connolly, Herman — deceased (Phyllis) Connolly, Vincent (Emily) Connolly, Vernon (Dianne) Connolly, Blanche (Eddy) McIver, Vincent (Josie) Walsh, Maureen (Tom) Lawless, Leo (Joan) Walsh, Maurice (Gloria) Walsh, Lois Walsh, Frances (Lauren) Walsh, Jimmy Gill, Kathi (Rob) O’Connoll, Michael Gill, Patti (Andy) Choquette, Richard (Sue) Gill, Tom Gill, Geraldine Daly, Marguerite Bourgeois and Kevin Daly.
Resting at the Jenkins Funeral Home, Millview. Funeral Tuesday leaving the funeral home at 1:45 with funeral mass at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River, at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 3 to 4 and 7 to 8:30.

Members of St. Joachim’s CWL will hold prays at the funeral home Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.
