Geldart, Edward Hayes – 78, Middle Stewiacke, passed away peacefully at home, January 30, 2012. Born in Economy, NS, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family and son of the late Clifford and Josie (Marks) Geldart. Edward began working in the wood camps at the age of 15. He worked for many years for Acadian Lines in Halifax and later returned to work in the woods, which was his passion. He was a “jack” of all trades” spending many hours in his workshop. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marion Ada Sill; daughters, Marianne (Kevin) Lohnes, Halifax, Wendy (Glenn) Erwin, Bowmanville, ON, Margaret (Larry) Collings, Elmsdale; sons, Clifford (Kim), Middle Stewiacke, Mark (Connie Wells), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Mandy and Logan LaPointe, Ashley and Aaron Johnson, Erika and Alyssa Erwin, Ryan and Shelby Geldart, Patrick and Kodie Collings, Brandon and Tiffany Geldart; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his seven siblings. No visitation, service or donations by Dad’s request.
