We sadly announce the passing of William Fraser Lamond at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, An Cala Unit, Sydney, on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
Raised in Trout Brook, Mira, he was the only son of the late Donald and Mayme (MacDonald) Lamond.

An avid Bruins fan, he enjoyed many games at the Boston Gardens. Fraser also enjoyed playing tarabish with the “boys”, gathering genealogy, and vacationing with friends and family in Cape Breton and New Hampshire. Upon retirement, he returned to “the home of his heart” Mira.

Besides his parents, Fraser was predeceased by his sisters-in-law, Mella MacDonald of Sydney and Tillie (the late Robert) Sharpe, Walpole, Mass.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Oakfield Cemetery, Mira at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the An Cala Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital or a charity of your choice.
