Peacefully at the Western Hospital Alberton, with her family by her side on Tuesday Jan. 31, 2012 of Carmen Mary Hogan of the Tignish Seniors Coop Home in her 91st year. Beloved wife of then late John Howard Hogan. Born on Feb. 24, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Pierce and Patricia nee (Cahill) Morrissey. Loving mother to Robert (Marlene) of Tignish; Muriel (Phillip) Harper of Tignish; Peggy Hogan (Ray Tremblay) Charlottetown. She is survived by her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Dear sister to Margaret (Ray) McHugh of Sea Cow Pond and John (Aldona) Morrissey of Tignish. She is also survived by her daughter in Law Velda Hogan of Tignish and by her sister in Law Marie Morrissey of Sea Cow Pond. She was predeceased by her husband John Howard Hogan, her son Leonard, daughter Mary Lou and by her granddaughter Lynn Ann Hogan. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Everett Morrissey, Bernie Morrissey, Dorothy (Dr.Wilbert) Shea; Lillian (Late Basil) Whelan, Marion (Late Walter) Harper, Jean (Late Lloyd) Ready, Betty (Late Alonzo) Hogan, Phyllis (Late Leo Dorgan and Late Kenneth) McHugh. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday Feb. 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday morning Feb. 3 from St. Simon and St. Jude's Church Tignish for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Brendon Gallant officiating. Interment later in the church cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Tignish Seniors Co-op Home would be gratefully appreciated.
