It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas Benoit announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Wednesday January 25, 2012 at the age of 89. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife: Muriel; children: Madonna (Dr. Bhushan Sennik), Georgetown, ON, Richard, St. Alban’s, NL, Julia Horncastle, St. Alban’s, NL, Genevieve (Peter Tremblett), Head of Bay d’Espoir, NL, Martin, Cold Lake, AB, Claude (Cindy), Norbert, Clayton, all of St. Alban’s, NL & Jacqueline (Paul Young), Codroy Valley, NL; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son: Gerard; brother: Valentine; sister: Mary Agnes. The funeral service was held on Saturday January 28, 2012 at 11 am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban’s with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
