Cyril Vincent Ryan, 78, a resident of MacGillivray Guest Home, formerly of Sydney Mines, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Margaret (Tobin) Ryan.
He is survived by his sisters, Gloria Reid, Sydney Mines and Sarah (Simon) Arsenault, Ingonish Beach and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Brown and his brothers, John D. and Thomas.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A graveside service will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sydney Mines, with Fr. Thomas John officiating.
