MERSEREAU, KATHY - The death of Kathy Mersereau, wife of Terry Mersereau of Hoyt, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, January 30th, 2012. Born October 13th, 1952 in Sydney, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of Lewis & Delphine Adams. Kathy is survived by her husband, Terry; brother, Ralph Adams (Bev) of Rusagonis; sisters-in-law, Brenda McMonagle of Burton; Judy Simpson (Francis) of Hoyt and Jackie Mersereau of Calgary, AB; brothers-in-law, David Mersereau (Louisa) of Napan, NB and Ross Norminton of Calgary, AB. She was a much beloved Aunt to Stephanie Adams (Chris Mcginn) of Trenton, ON, Shannon Adams of Rusagonis, Matt Billard (Shelly) of French Lake, Marty Billard (Kim) of Dundas, ON, Jamie Billard (Tania) of London, ON, Jody Mersereau (Sherry) of Hoyt, Gillian Mersereau of Oromocto, Jay Mersereau of ON, Lenny McMonagle (Lorrie) of Burton, Steven McMonagle (Kristie) of Burton, Cindy Allain (Mike) of Lincoln, Michael Simpson (Kelsey) of Fredericton and Amber Venturo (Dominic) of Calgary, AB. She was also a much loved "Great Kate" to Tyler, Connar, Jennah, Katie, Ryan, Sarahlee, Connor, Emma, Sammy, Jessie, Jamie, Haley, Mitchell, Gage, Chase and Sophie. Kathy was predeceased by her father and mother, Lewis and Delphine Adams; sister, Linda Billard; brother, Reggie Adams; sister-in-law, Carol Norminton and two brothers-in-law, Matt (Red) Billard and Emmerson McMonagle. Kathy had worked at CFB Gagetown for the duration of her career and will be remembered and dearly missed by her large circle of friends whom she made a part of her extended family.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Friday, February 3rd, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday, February 4th, 2012 from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will take place at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Sunday, February 5th, 2012 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will take place in Hoyt at a later date.
