Brenda Fairbank (nee Kolody) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter Brenda Fairbank (nee Kolody) on November 24, 2006 at her home in Sutcliffe, Nevada. She is survived by her loving husband Dan, parents John and Mildred, and her brothers Brian (Pat) in Kelowna and Dale (Sarah), in Hobart, Australia. She also leaves many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. She was born in Kamloops on January 31, 1963. She attended Elementary and High School in Kamloops. She received her BA degree from Okanagan College (University of Victoria) which prepared her to tutor University and high school students, as well as some classroom teaching when she lived in Grand Coulee Dam, Washington. Brenda loved life and was passionate about what she did. She will be remembered for her quick wit and ability to respond astutely to questions and problems. Her sense of humour was always entertaining and enlightening. She had to live with many health adversities including diabetes but she courageously rose above the challenges to develop many life skills. She dabbled with watercolours, oil painting, pencil crayon art, stained glass work, photography and was an avid gardener. She was a compassionate person. She deeply cared for people and animals. It was a lucky cat if he came to her door because he was adopted instantly. She was a resourceful creative person. She was mechanically inclined and took training as a parts person in the automotive industry. She accepted life as a challenge and succeeded to adapt to the rapid changes in our living style. Christian Burial Mass: Prayers will be recited on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church at 109 Tranquille Rd., North Kamloops. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 10.00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church followed by interment at the Hillside Cemetery. Fr. Michael Bohun Officiating.
