PERRY, INA - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Ina Lenora Perry on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Kings Way Care Centre. Ina was born in Upham, NB on November 23, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Everett and Helen (Pierce) Kilpatrick. She was a dedicated mother who devoted her life to her immediate and extended family. Her early days started as a farm wife in Hillsdale, NB. Later she moved her family to Saint John where she worked in retail and begrudgingly retired at the age of 70. While Ina was busy with family after retirement she still found time to visit the Holy Land at 83 years of age. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Muriel of Toronto and Coles Island, Donald (Nora) of Upperton, Beatrice Burman of London and Coles Island, and Robert (Donna) of Quispamsis, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews, and family friend Danny Owens.
Ina was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon of Coles Island; four sisters, Clara Kilpatrick, Sybil Pollock, Iva Scott, and Grace Carlson; two brothers, Theodore and Robert (Red); nephew Vernon Kilpatrick; infant son Gary and grandson Donnie Perry, son-in-law Dave Burman and Glen Pattinson.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424). Visitation will be on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Ina’s life will be held from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upham, N.B. on Sunday, February 5 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be held in the adjoining cemetery. Following the interment a reception will be held at the W.I. Hall, Upham, N.B. Remembrances may be made to the Kings Way Life Care Alliance or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
