On Friday, December 15, 2006, Rachel Marie Marguerite Young (nee Meloche) passed away at the age of 73 years. Rachel was born in Southern Ontario on August 16, 1933. She came to Kamloops with her husband David in 1995. She was predeceased by her father Ovila, her mother Margaret and brothers Roger and Russell. Rachel is survived by her loving husband David; her three daughters Deborah (Ron) Pepper of Gibsons, B.C., Wanda LeBlanc of Parksville, B.C. and Jo-Anne (Sean) Lamoureux of Kamloops, B.C.; and her three beloved grandchildren Joshua, Hanna and Ashley. Prayers will be recited on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 255 Nicola Street. The Reverend Father Derrick Cameron will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the cathedral. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
