Brittany and the Perry Family would like to thank everyone for their support, wishes of condolence and their love and prayers during this very sad time in our lives. We would like to acknowledge the families of the predeceased miners. We are now joined in tragedy.

To Lougheed Funeral Home, your thoughtfulness will always be remembered. To Local 6500, thank you for standing so proud. To see so many brothers and sisters at the church will be a picture forever etched in our minds and hearts. To the support team from Vale and Management: it is so difficult to put words to paper for the indescribable amount of compassion, kindness and understanding you have shown us in one of our family’s greatest sorrows.

To Steve’s crew: we know that Steve felt a bond with everyone he worked with. We thank you for giving him many moments of laughter. As his absence will be felt in our family, we know that it will be felt in his crew.

To the Paddock, Evans, Reid and House families, our thanks for the shoulder of warmth and kindness. To Father Alex: thank you for your wise and comforting words and a very beautiful service.

To Brittany’s boyfriend and her many friends, thank you for being there for her. To the Sudbury Police Force, thank you for the escort to the Church. To the people of the Sudbury area: we felt your sorrow. Thank you.

To the people in mining communities across Canada that have expressed their condolences; the people of Manitouwadge, Marathon and Hemlo Mining community, thank you for your prayers.

To all the local newspapers, we thank you for respecting our privacy and giving us a picture of how Steve’s death has affected the mining community.

To Signatures Restaurant and Tim Hortons in Chelmsford, we thank you. To the staff at the Holiday Inn, your attention to detail was excellent.

And a special thank you to the people of Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

With our circle of love now missing one, Brittany and the Perry family surround all miners with wishes for a safe work life.
