
Jane Chapman
M. Jane Chapman, 71, Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and sister, Martha “Jane” Chapman, on February 8, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Halifax, December 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Captain Reuben and Mary (Camp) Ball.
Jane was retired from the Sutherland-Harris Memorial Hospital, Pictou and was an Honorary Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 16, Pictou.
She is survived by her children: Paul (Doreen), Plymouth; Jeff (Lorianne), Kentville; Vicki MacLean (Steven), Merigomish; Julia (Howie Stacey), Trenton; Lori (Preston), Pictou; Eileen (T.J.), Ontario; brother, Robert (Jean) Ball, Pictou. She was the very loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jane’s loving husband, John Matthew Chapman, passed away in 2002.
Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will take place 3 p.m. Sunday from St. James Anglican Church, Pictou, with Rev. Bill White officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall.
