Suddenly, as the result of an industrial accident, on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 of David Batista Tarenta, of Belfast, age 46 years.
Survived by his loving daughters, Maria and Jacinta, and their mother Coreen Tarenta (nee McGarry) and special friend Debbie Collings. David is also survived by his brothers, Fernando, Isidro and Alfonso of Toronto, ON, Lucineo of France and John and Mario of Portugal; and his sisters, Maria and Lourdes of Portugal. He was predeceased by his parents Manuel and Deolinda Tarenta and parents-in-law, Peter and Alice McGarry.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Sunday, February 12, 2012, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 13, at St. Michael's Parish, Iona, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maria and Jacinta's Education Fund.
