It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis William Corness, who departed peacefully on December 16 at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. In his last 18 months Dennis was cared for by his daughter, Arlene Olynyk and her loving family in Kamloops. Dennis was born in Edmonton and spent time working in Vancouver, Barrie, Kamloops and Sooke prior to retiring in Greenwood. Dennis was a loving brother to Norman Corness of Edmonton; a cherished father to Jeff, Arlene, Greg and Jacquie; and the proud grandfather of Jesse, Kelly, Maya, Alexia, Liam and Anja. Dennis was admired for his humour, curiosity and boundless thirst for knowledge. He was an Anglican minister from 1960-1969. He will be missed and never forgotten by all who loved him. The family, who met privately for services this week, welcome loved ones to the internment that will be arranged at Beechmount cemetery in Edmonton, spring 2007. Heartfelt appreciation goes out to the staff of the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops for their attention and care during this difficult time.
