MARGARET ELIZABETH SHAVER 1913 - 2006 Margaret Elizabeth Fraser was born in Calgary, Alberta on April 7, 1913. She passed away suddenly in Vernon on Christmas Day at the age of 93. She spent her early years in Erickson, the Creston Valley attending The University of British Columbia at the age of 16. They were married in 1936 and had a family of six. Margaret taught at Allan Matthews School and several others in the Kamloops area. However, it was the small rural schools that were her passion; Duck Range being one of the most special. In 1974 she and Bud retired to acreage in Armstrong, B.C., where she enjoyed gardening, baking and reading. On Christmas Eve she baked pies, in preparing for Christmas Day company. Her wonderful, beautifully written letters will be so missed. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christina in 1948, son Hugh, in 1981, her husband Bud, in 1995 and son Daniel in 2004.
