The death occurred peacefully surrounded by family at the Beach Grove Home Charlottetown, on Friday, June 20, 2008, of Evelyn M. MacEwen, formerly of Kensington, aged 88 years. Born in Long River Jan. 3, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Maria Jane (Parsons) Found. Beloved wife of the late Frank MacEwen and dear mother of Marlene (Harold Giesbrecht), Lowell (Ellinor), Irwin (Leta), Valerie (Arnold Flynn), Duane (Ann) and Marvin. Grandmother of 12 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. Sister-inlaw of Harold MacEwen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Bill; sisters Marjorie, Mae and Ellen; brother-in-law Blois MacEwen and sisters-in-law Orian MacEwen and Irene MacEwen. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday at the Kensington United Church at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Geddie Memorial, Spring Brook. If so desired contributions may be made to Kensington United Church Memorial Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society. Members of Lt. Col. E.W. Johnstone Branch #9 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 6:40. Members of Regent Chapter #52 Order of the Eastern Star will hold a service at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 9.
