Lieu de décès : Canada
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Grace McCannel on January 3, 2007 at the age of 73. Born in Spaulding, Saskatchewan on February 1, 1933 to Mildred and W.B. Gammie. Sheila was raised by "Gramma King" after Mildred died in December 1933. She came to Kamloops in 1945 to be with her father who was repatriated to Kamloops after WWII due to health problems. Sheila attended Kamloops Junior and Senior High School. In October 20, 1950 she was married to John in Everett, Washington. She is survived by her husband John; five children Mary (Prince George, BC), Bill (Courtenay, BC), Gail (Prince George, BC), Catherine (Fort McMurray, AB) and John (Everett, Washington); four grandchildren Nathan, Krysta, Kellen and Shelby. Over the years Sheila was active in the Kinnettes and was a founding board member of the Kamloops YWCA. She was a stay-at-home mom who looked after her children and provided all the necessities of a home life. We would like to thank the nurses of "6 South" and the "ICU" who took wonderful care of Sheila and showed compassion and professionalism at all times and made her feel loved during her trials. There will be a memorial service for Sheila at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Fourth Avenue and Nicola Street at 11 A.M. on Tueday, January 9th, 2007
