Peacefully and surrounded by her family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, December 6, 2009, of Janie A. Cole of Margate, age 75 years.
Born in New London on October 25, 1934, daughter of the late Harry and Alba (Currie) Somers. Wife of Willard L. Cole for 56 years (1953). Mother of Judy Cole, Margate, and Bonnie (John) MacRae, Spring Valley. Grandmother of two very special granddaughters, Vanessa and Stephanie Gallant, Spring Valley. Step grandmother of Angelia Blake, Barrie, Ontario, and Terah MacRae, Summerside. Step great-grandmother of Nathan and Skylar MacRae and Nevaeh and Victoria Blake all of Barrie, Ontario. Sister of Roma (Herman) Cole MacLeod, New London; Margaret (Herbie) Paynter, Kensington; Sheila (James) Brander, New London and Phyllis (Bill) Thiebeau, Kensington. Mother-in-law of Wylie Baglole, Summerside. Sister-in-law of Walter (Wallie) Cole, Kensington; James Cole, Clinton; Francis Cole, Summerside; June Crozier, Kensington; and Margaret Cole, Bolsover, Ontario.
Predeceased by daughter, Nancy, and grandson, Ryan Baglole, December 7, 1991; sisters, Lois Cole and Anna Marie Somers; brother, Harry Somers Jr., in infancy; brothers–in-law, Ingham, Dawson and Ivan Cole, Delmar Crozier; and sister-in-law, Merle Cole.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation Tuesday from 6:30–9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery, Spring Brook.
