ERNA BEPPLE September 29th, 1921 ~ January 13, 2007 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Erna Bepple announce her sudden passing at Royal Inland Hospital on Saturday, January 13, 2007. Mom is survived by her nine children: Art (Myrna), Arnie (Bernie), Linda (Gilbert Jandoc) of Lynnwood, WA., Robert (Penny), Terry (Susan), Tina (Bart Hollinger), Darleen (Bill Taylor), Jim (Sue) of Chase, BC, and Keith (Dinah) of Salmon Arm, BC; also 25 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and many great, great grandchildren; one brother, Emil Eppler (Carmie); and sisters Clare (Dennis) Collins and Betty (Allan) Collier. She was predeceased by her husband Reinhold in 1992 and son Donald in 1954. "Mrs. B", as Erna was affectionately known to her many friends, was one of the pioneering families in Brocklehurst. She was involved in establishing the Farmers' Market and was also one of the original volunteers with the Kamloops Hospice Society. Prior to moving to Berwick on the Park, she was a fixture at the Swiss Pastry Shop downtown. For many years she was an 'Honorary' "back-seat driver" to all the Farwest Coach bus drivers! She was an avid gardener and had a zest for life and laughter. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the incredible care received from the staff at Berwick on the Park. Sincere thanks to Dr. Leung, her doctor for 28 years. Thank you to all the staff on 3 West at RIH and Dr. Prasad for their compassionate care this past week. For friends wishing to pay their respects, a visitation may be made at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, BC, Thursday, January 18th, 2007 between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m., with the Funeral Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19th, 2007 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in the family plot at the Pleasant Street Cemetery, Kamloops will follow the service. Donations in Erna's memory may be made to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home, 72 Whiteshield Crescent South, Kamloops, BC V2E 2S9, in lieu of flowers.
