BENJAMIN, Marie Solange, late of Prince Albert, passed away February 15, 2012 in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 78 years. Marie Solange Benjamin (nee Lepine) was born on May 14, 1933, on her parents’ farm near Marcelin, SK. She grew up there with ten brothers and sisters. After completing grade twelve, she went to secretarial school for a year and took one year of university classes. In 1958, she married Cornelius (Cor) Johannes Benjamin and they became parents of three boys. Solange worked as a teacher aid, librarian and secretary in the Prince Albert Separate School system for 25 years. Solange lived her life loving her family, and serving others. Her generous spirit was a blessing to many, with everything she did rooted in faith. She is predeceased by her parents Jean-Baptiste Leopold Lepine and Aldea Hortense Lepine (nee Mainville), her husband Cor, her eldest son Corey, three sisters, five brothers, and four brothers-in-law. Solange always considered her family to be her greatest blessing. She is survived by daughter-in-law Dawn Benjamin and children Neil, Branwyn, and Megan; her son Marc (Laurie) and children Eric, Amanda and Adam; her son Robert (Rhonda) and children Jeremy (Kayla and great-grandchild Hunter), Christopher, Jessica, Tristan, Morgan and Aurora. Also surviving Solange are her sister Florence Ball, brother Gerard Lepine, sisters-in-law Frances Lepine, Helen Lepine, Verna Lepine, Norma Lepine, Maria (Ed) Lockert, Astrid (Mark) Ballard, Margriet (Sandy) Spademan, Olga (Murray) Evans, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A Prayer Service will be held Monday, February 27, 2012 at 7:30 pm, at St. Joseph’s Church. A Funeral Mass will be held, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11:00 am, at St. Joseph’s Church, 260- 25th St. E, Prince Albert, SK, with Fr. Roque Concepcion as Celebrant.
