FOLEY Foley (nee Lee): Adeline Evelyn (Sophie) was born in Kamloops on August 21st, 1914. She passed away peacefully at 92 years on January 30th, 2007 at Three Links Manor in Kelowna. Sophie was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Sydney. Also brother Reginald and brothers-in-law Jack, Harry, Dan and Percy, sisters-in-law Laura and Doris. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons John (Lila) of Kamloops and Allan (Rose) of Kelowna; five wonderful grandchildren Blaine (Karen), Diane (Jason) of Kamloops; Steven (Shelly), Stephanie and Suzanne of Kelowna; four great grandchildren Wyatt, Riley, Halle and Kenna Foley. Many nieces and nephews and special friend Bill McGhee, three caring sisters, Marion Bews, Laura Grieve and Verna Routledge and sister-in-law Dorothy Foley. Sophie was born and married in Kamloops and farmed in the Brigade Lake area for many years with Sydney. They moved to Kelowna in 1957 and farmed in the Glenmore Valley before moving to the Kiwanis Towers in 1988 were Sophie enjoyed ceramic and many card games while living there. She will be sadly missed but always remembered by her family. Inurnment will be on Saturday, February 10th , 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery and a Celebration of Life Tea will follow at 12:00 P.M. in Rutland at the Magnolia Gardens Club House, 515 Houghton Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holding Hands for Hospice, #202-1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 2E6 in memory of Sophie.
