Bertha Margaret Haywood-Farmer 1921 - 2007 It is with deep sadness that Bertha's family announces her passing at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on February 6, 2007. Bertha was born in Kamloops on March 31, 1921 to William Frisken and Ann Morrison McLeod. She lived near Anderson Creek and Robbins Range, attending school in both places before going on to graduate from Kitsilano High School in Vancouver. She then attended Nurse's Training at St. Paul's in Vancouver, graduating in 1944. Bertha was married to Bob in 1945 and moved to Trail where they resided happily for over sixty years. They enjoyed family life, work, church and community activities. Bertha loved any opportunity to cook for, and entertain family and friends. In October 2006, Bertha and Bob moved back to the hills above the Thompson River Valley. Bertha is survived by her beloved husband Robert of 61 years, her brother Ian Frisken McLeod (Koralie), her children Bruce (Barbara), Marie (Philip Goody), Laurel (Marvin Penner) and Ian. She was predeceased by her brother Norman William McLeod. Grandma will be missed by Sandra (Mike Robson), Leanne (Greg Noonan) and Kirsten Haywood-Farmer, Matthew and Allison Goody, and Ross and Walt Penner, as well as Great grandsons and Lucas Robson and Joshua Noonan. Bertha's grandchildren will remember her interest and support in their lives and education as well as her great cooking. A Memorial Service for Bertha will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 6th Avenue and Douglas Street, Kamloops.
