The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family of Genevieve (Gen) Mary Hammill (Greenan) on Sunday, December 6, 2009. Wife of the late Gorden Hammill. Born September 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late St. Clair and Camilla (Millie) Greenan. Survived by her children Marilyn Warren, Middleton; Gerard and Debbie Hammill, Freetown and Nancy and Larry Gallant, Middleton. Grandchildren Clair and Nicole Warren, Mary and Albert Arsenault, Chris (Jessie), Vanessa, Mitch and Tyler Hammill, Crystal (Chris), Amanda (Mark) and Brittany Gallant. Three great-grandchildren Angela & Victoria Arsenault and Caden Gallant. Two sisters Irene McCarville, Kinkora and Wanda Conway, Summerside. Sisters- and brothers-in-law Elaine McCourt, Eric and Helen, Elmer and Mary, Edwin and Joan Hammill. Predeceased by her infant son Joseph, her sister Nora and brother Harold, son-in-law Danny Warren, her brothers- and sisters-in-law Emmett Conway, Amby McCarvill, Fr. Preston Hammill, Pius Croken, Lloyd McCourt, Wilfred and Freda Smith and special niece Nora Warren. Donations to ALS Society or charity of your choice. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, 21 Somerset Street, Kinkora. Visiting hours Tuesday, December 8 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, December 9 at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora with funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Members of the CWL will say prayers at the funeral home Tuesday, December 8 at 6:30 p.m.
