Age 90 years. Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre, on Monday, December 7, 2009, after a long and healthy life. Predeceased by her husband Donald Llewellyn; father and mother John and Jessie Maude Newell; sisters: Ruby Sutton, Ellen Newell; brother Cecil Newell (Susie); and brother-in-law Fred Newhook. Leaving to celebrate her life and mourn her loss are her sister Evelyn Newhook; brothers: Varrick Newell (Annie), Lorne Newell and Floyd Newell (Mary); brother-in-law Sam Sutton; daughters: Donna Butler and Linda Brett (Jerry); close friend George Beckett and grandchildren: Adrian, Kathryn and Sarah Brett; as well as special friends and neighbours. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 10th at 2 p.m. from Gower Street United Church with interment to follow at Mt.
