Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, Alfred Glenn Lewis of 405 Maple St., Summerside, age 73 years, went home to be with his heavenly father. Born at Union, P.E.I., on March 4, 1937, he as the son of the late John and Mary (nee Smith) Lewis. He was predeceased by his wife the former Joyce (nee Faulkner) Lewis of Calgary, Alta. Loving father to Glenda (Jamie) Tuson of Calgary, Alta., and Leonard (Linda) Lewis of Kelvin Grove, P.E.I.; stepfather to Sherry (Jerry) Starr of Calgary, Alta., and Danny (Karen) Faulkner and step-grandchildren of Calgary, Alta. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Leanne (Darren) Jacobson, Devin and Cauy Tuson, Russell and Nathan Lewis, and great-granddaughter Layla Jacobson. He is survived by brothers Elmer (Betty) Lewis of Union and Alan (Ruth) Lewis of Summerside. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be sadly missed by his special friends Thelma Gamester and Betty Arsenault. He was predeceased by a brother Earl (late Clara nee Vincent) Lewis and by a sister Olive (late Claude) Lewis. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, from where the funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Ray Hinchey officiating. Interment will be held in the United Baptist Cemetery, Union. If so desired, memorials to the United Baptist Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated. Visiting hours commencing Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
