It is with great sadness that we announce that Ruth Tanaka passed away peacefully, with her nephew Ronald Sugiyama, Lynn and The Very Reverend Louise Peters at her side on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the age of 88.

Ruth was born September 5, 1923 at Stave Falls, BC.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral, 360 Nicola Street on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.

If friends so desire, memorial donations in Ruth's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 111-450 Lansdowne St., Kamloops, BC, V2C 1Y3.
